Dr. Nima Sakian
Dr. Nima Sakian leads our team of medical practitioners. He has a full time family practice, in addition to teaching international medical doctors in B.C. . He has assisted many patients with cosmetic services that include, Botox Cosmetic® and dermal fillers and offers free consultations to new patients who are looking for the right fit in a cosmetic treatments.
He continues his medical education on a regular basis throughout the year, attending numerous courses and conferences to allow him to help provide the most current treatments for you.
Immersed in the world of orthotics for nearly two decades, Lowell has a deep understanding of how properly aligned feet impact on a person’s well being. Lowell worked in the fabrication of custom orthotics for thirteen years before opening his own foot lab, Prodigy Orthotics Lab, in 2007 in Burnaby, British Columbia. Prodigy manufactures high quality custom orthotics to patients of chiropractors, podiatrists and physiotherapists.
Lowell completed the Pedorthic program from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Spring Foot Wellness is the next step in Lowell’s mission to offer patients a complete solution to pain relief in the lower extremities.
Vicky graduated from the University of British Columbia with my Bachelors of Science then went on to study massage therapy at West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She graduated in 2012 with experience in myofascial release, deep tissue massage, sports massage, muscle energy technique and trigger point therapy. Because each client presents with a uniquely different concern, Vicky greatly believes in taking a listening approach towards her client before, during and after the treatment process, to ensure her client’s needs are met.
Vicky is a very caring person who takes pride in helping others. In her free time, Vicky enjoys channelling her creative energy into painting. She also loves spending time with her 2 young nieces to keep her active and healthy.
Kevin specializes in physical work/sport injuries, chronicle pain and internal disorder such as IBS, insomnia, depression and allergy. Kevin believes in finding the root cause of illnesses, which oftentimes is not so apparent to the naked eye. Through the sense of touch and TCM diagnosis, places in conflicts of energy flows can be exposed under his hands and re-channeled accordingly through means of Tui Na (Chinese massage) and specialized traditional Chinese acupuncture techniques. His needle is painless and allows stimulation of the body in the right amount customized to every patient's tolerance.
Kevin and Siana are a couple not only in relationship, but also in career. With a common mission, they set forth to spread the art of Chinese Traditional Medicine to the community to better help everyone understands their body, to regain a healthy state of body and mind, ultimately, to prevent illnesses before becoming a fact. Dr Mélanie DesChâtelets helps individuals get to the bottom of their health concerns so that they can feel their best. When individuals feel their best we have more people fulfilling their life mission and making this world a better place. Dr Mélanie has a family style practice seeing various age groups and health concerns. Her areas of focus are digestive health, women's health and metabolic/weight management.
She's loves to teach both for her patients as well as a faculty member at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster.
Dr. Siana Gan
Siana has a strong dedication in helping patients pursue their wellness goals in order to enjoy life more fully. She offers acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbal therapy to create individualized care, ensuring patients concerns be heard and taken care of. While Siana enjoys treating a wide variety of health issues, she has a particular interest in internal disorders, stress and mood issues, gynecological disorders, cosmetic acupuncture and weight loss, and wellness care.
Besides blending herbal medicine into the treatment, she also offers Chinese therapeutic nutrition, moxibustion, cupping and Tuina massage to help clients achieve and maintain optimal health. Health is not something that can be purchased with money. Health is so precious that it requires time, effort and perseverance to maintain. Siana and her team at Spring Medical Clinic are willing to help, support and guide the clients on their healing journeys, so that they won’t feel isolated and mistreated.
Jacqueline Bourne obtained her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in1998. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (and a minor in Kinesiology) from Simon Fraser University. Since graduating, Jacqueline has continued her education by completing courses in acupuncture, muscular imbalances and manual therapy. She obtained the Certificate from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada in 2002 and the Intermediate Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy in 2006.
She has worked extensively with a variety of orthopaedic conditions and has a special interest in muscular imbalances, posture and biomechanics. Her treatment focus involves helping clients to obtain maximal function and mobility and showing clients how to independently maintain optimal performance and manage pain. Jacqueline believes in an active approach to treatment so that clients can return to normal, everyday activities. Outside of the clinic, Jacqueline's time is largely spent with her family (including two little children). Her hobbies include skiing, hiking, reading and flamenco dancing.
