Why Chiropractic care for car accident injuries?

Today in society too much focus is spent on just treating pain symptoms. Car accidents can be devastating for many different reasons including injury, time off work and loss of quality of life. Chiropractic care not only helps reduce pain but more importantly increases the function of a patient’s spine. This in turn will lead to decrease pain medications, improved quality of life and quicker return to work.

Whiplash: Neck injuries tend to be one of the most common complaints post accident. These can take months to recover from and affect the neck region which is very important to driving. Chiropractic care helps improve range of motion. Most patients see significant gains within 2 months of treatment.

Low back pain: Another very common injury, low back pain results in some of the most debilitating injuries. Out of all my car accident patients they are some of the slowest to return to work. The good news is that chiropractic care is one of the most effective treatments in general for treating low back pain and that is no different after an accident.

What are my options?

Chiropractic care is covered by ICBC under it’s flat fee program for which I am a member of. 14 weeks are covered with potential to receive an additional 5 weeks.

But I was at fault! What about us?

The good news is that chiropractic care is covered regardless of who was at fault or not. The goal to get better and return to work or daily activities as soon as possible.
